La Sirene 1772
1/150 scale plastic kit by Heller #80893 Finished length 16.9", height 16.7", with 476 pieces Complete with a ratline jig & display stand

Built with 70 guns and lavishly decorated, the galleries of La Sirene were so large you could find gardens where more than 120 people were able to take a stroll during the receptions which took place there. Of the three gilded and engraved brass lanthorns, the centre one was large enough for ten people to fit inside. In 1775 La Sirene played a part in the French / British battles for Canada. A truly beautiful ship, she will be a worthy showpiece in a model collection, or by herself. The mermaid figurehead is just neato!
